So the last time I posted I told you all that I'd be telling you how to effectively remove your fake tan with the help of a household baking product. I know you're all dying to know what it was so here we go... drum roll please... lemon juice! That's right, smell like a cake while removing your tan! And the best bit? At Tesco a 500ml bottle of lemon juice is only £1.19, and trust me, one bottle will last quite a while.
I promise that this is probably the quickest way I've come across for easy removal. Grab a pair of exfoliating mits and a good body scrub. I usually use Soap and Glory Pulp Friction (£8 for 250ml in Boots), squeeze some body scrub onto your mits and then drizzle on some lemon juice, then rub, rub, rub! Yes the scrub does remove fake tan anyway but I find that it does take a long time and quite a bit of effort, whereas adding lemon juice speeds up the process due to acidity in the juice.
This clever little mixture can be used all over your body. Once satisfied with your removal, remember to use a good moisturiser, I'm currently using a lovely coconut body butter from the Body Shop. Your skin will probably feel a little sensitive after all the scrubbing and may be a little red, but that will go down after a few hours. Also if you have any small cuts, grazes or open wounds, it may be best to avoid the lemon juice until all cuts have healed and your skin has returned back to normal.
