Crimson and Clover

I know, yet another fashion and beauty blog, but hear me out.

The two of us came up with Crimson and Clover as we were on yet another errand run that turned into a clothes and cosmetics shop. We've been friends for almost ten years and have grown up with very different tastes, but an equal love for all things pretty, be it clothes, make up, perfume or hair.

We decided upon Crimson and Clover as our pseudonym and general concept of the blog as we wanted to write about 'all things nice' and 'sugar and spice' came to mind. However as 'all things nice' was taken and after listening to too much Joan Jett and The Pretty Reckless, I suggested Crimson and Clover and realised it's quite apt.

I write as Crimson. I won't pretend to be an expert in fashion, but I love clothes and love finding new ways to wear high street pieces to put an original spin on my outfits. I like all things a little bit different and a little bit rock n roll and my style inspirations range from 80's films like Top Gun to 90's grunge and pretty vintage looking tea dresses. I'm also obsessed with women's magazines!

Now writing on behalf of Clover, she is a major girly girl and if you can glue it, stick it, clip it or in any way fake it, she's tried it. (Barring surgery, though she wouldn't rule out a boob job.) She has a real passion for cosmetics and all things pretty.

Originally, we were going to divide it so that one of us wrote about fashion and the other beauty, however, we both use cosmetics and beauty products, just as we both wear clothes (Yes... shocking I know) and like to look on trend and generally nice, so we're both writing about all things fashion and beauty that we try, buy and love. Or hate. Everyone has their likes and dislikes!

We're just two recent uni graduates, fairly uncertain about what we want out of life or what we're going to do with it, but just know that we want to look fabulous doing it, as every girl knows, when you're confident and look fabulous, you get the attitude to match.

New posts coming later this week as we're still adding finishing touches and discussing our first articles! We've got a few drafts of articles so the first few although the publish date will be recent, the articles were written a few weeks ago.. it's a clever game of catch up. Enjoy!
